Thanks again to Dr. Kevin Bernstein for being my guest on Family Medicine Rocks Podcast Episode 236. He is a first year Family Medicine Resident at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. We talked about life as an intern and what that means. We also discussed his recent blog post "Life as a Family Medicine Intern and Social Media Burnout." You'll see part of that chat in the video above.
In addition, we talked about Family Medicine advocacy including the upcoming AAFP committee meeting weekend in February where this will be the first experience of some medical students and residents to organized medicine. We talked about tips to help these new committee members succeed.
Kevin is the Resident Chair of the 2012 AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students which will take place in July. You may remember this video when we chatted during the 2010 edition of the meeting. Man, how time flies. Finally, we talked about the recent events at Penn State University, especially since that is his alma mater.
You can download the entire audio podcast below. I hope to put up on the blog other video clips from last night's episode - particularly about Family Medicine advocacy and particularly with the upcoming AAFP committee meeting weekend. Have a great weekend everyone!
